SOMATIC & VAGUS NERVE THERAPY
Holistic healing center for women
with chronic pain & inflammatory conditions.
OPENING SOON · BERLIN 2026
OUR AREAS OF FOCUS
-
Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory disease with no definitive cure. It often begins during adolescence or early adulthood and affects approximately 1 in 10 women.
Common Symptoms
Physical pain: Severe pelvic pain, sciatic pain, recurrent migraines and persistent fatigue.
Body systems: Gastrointestinal issues and autonomic nervous system imbalances.
Mental health: Higher rates of anxiety, depression, and reduced quality of life.
The Nervous System Connection
Pain amplification: Chronic stress and nervous system imbalances increase pain sensitivity.
Inflammation: Dysregulation actively fuels pelvic inflammation.
Surgical limits: Up to 30% of patients still experience pain after successful surgery.
Recurrence: Symptoms return in 20% of cases within two years, even with specialized surgeons.
A New Approach to Care
The newest research highlights the deep link between inflammation, hormones, and the nervous system. This understanding opens new, holistic pathways to fully support women living with endometriosis.
-
Chronic pain not only occurs more frequently in women, but is also often more intense and longer-lasting. The vagus nerve has the power to reduce chronic pain of all kinds. The vagus is the body’s natural way to regulate stress, calm inflammation and pain levels.
Chronic pelvic pain: Affects an estimated 15–25% of women worldwide. It is often associated with conditions such as Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, Pelvic floor dysfunction or IBS. Approximately 1 in 8 women develops chronic pelvic pain during the first 1–2 years after childbirth.
Headaches and migraines: These neurological disorders are up to three times more common in women than in men and are strongly influenced by hormonal fluctuations, such as changes in estrogen levels. Neuroinflammation drives migraine pain through the release of signalling molecules like CGRP, activation of immune cells in the brain, and the sensitisation of the trigeminal nerve.
Musculoskeletal pain: Conditions such as arthritis, lower back pain, and joint degeneration affect women disproportionately often.
Fibromyalgia: This complex disorder of the central nervous system is characterized by widespread pain throughout the body, fatigue, and sleep disturbances, and affects women in approximately 80% to 90% of all cases.
-
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a common chronic digestive condition that is diagnosed in women about twice as often as in men. Women also frequently experience greater visceral sensitivity. This means they tend to feel intestinal pain, discomfort, and cramping more intensely than men.
The Gut-Brain Axis: IBS involves much more than just the intestines. Common symptoms like abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, and food sensitivities are deeply linked to the gut-brain connection. Because of this major nervous pathway, stress responses and anxiety often have a much stronger impact on gut function and how severe your symptoms feel.
Stress & The Nervous System: Growing evidence shows that chronic stress, trauma, and nervous system dysregulation play a major role in IBS. Continuous stress alters your immune system, increases low-grade gut inflammation, and changes your microbiome. It also lowers your vagal tone (vagus nerve activity), which is consistently linked to higher pain sensitivity and more severe symptoms.
-
Fatigue and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) affect women disproportionately, with women representing two thirds of diagnosed cases. The condition is closely linked to nervous system dysregulation, chronic stress responses, and immune imbalance.
Immune system differences: Women generally have stronger immune responses than men, which may increase susceptibility to autoimmune and post-infectious conditions. In ME/CFS, immune dysregulation, chronic inflammation, and abnormal immune signaling are thought to play important roles.
Nervous system dysregulation: ME/CFS is associated with abnormalities in the autonomic nervous system, including impaired regulation of heart rate, blood pressure, and stress responses. Women with ME/CFS often experience heightened sensitivity to physical, emotional, and environmental stressors.
Stress and trauma responses: Chronic stress, prolonged activation of the stress response system, and adverse life experiences may influence nervous system regulation and immune balance, potentially contributing to symptom severity and persistence.
-
PMDD is a severe cyclical condition, not just "bad PMS." It causes intense depression, anxiety, and hopelessness during the days or weeks before your period.
The Nervous System Connection
Hormone sensitivity: Your hormone levels are normal, but your brain and nervous system are uniquely sensitive to their natural fluctuations.
Heightened stress response: This sensitivity keeps your body's stress-response system stuck on high alert during the luteal phase (the second half of your cycle).
Difficulty recovering: When your system is trapped in this activated state, it becomes incredibly difficult for your body to naturally return to a calm baseline.
The Potential of Vagus Nerve Therapy
A physiological brake: Supporting vagus nerve activity helps your nervous system settle and recover more easily during hormone shifts.
Targeted response: The goal is not to alter your hormones, but to train your nervous system to respond to them with less intensity.
-
Widespread impact: Autoimmune conditions include Hashimoto's thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and many others.
Sex difference: Women are 2 to 3 times more likely than men to develop an autoimmune condition over their lifetimes.
Ongoing challenges: Many patients continue to experience a persistent inflammatory load, even with correct medical management.
The vagus connection: The cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway directly modulates the immune signaling that drives symptom flares. In a body carrying chronic stress, vagal tone is consistently suppressed. Without this natural cholinergic brake, the immune system remains stuck in an uninhibited, destructive inflammatory loop
-
Higher Prevalence: Women are diagnosed with anxiety disorders nearly twice as often as men, with chronic stress heavily driving this disparity.
Impact on Life Quality: Persistent anxiety severely impairs daily functioning, causing chronic fatigue, sleep disturbances, cognitive fog, and a significantly higher risk of secondary depression.
The Vagus Nerve: Lower vagus nerve activity is consistently linked to a hyperactive "fight-or-flight" response, which keeps the body stuck in a loop of physical and mental tension.
New Therapeutic Potential: Vagus nerve stimulation acts as a quick physiological brake. By sending calming signals to the brain's emotional centers, it rapidly lowers heart rate, reduces cortisol levels, and switches the body back into a calm, regulated state.

Beyond that, there is a long list of general conditions, which are poorly addressed by Conventional Medicine, that significantly improve with Vagus Nerve Healing like:
Chronic fatigue
Brain fog
Emotional dysregulation
Sleep disturbances
Long Covid
Muscle tension
Inability to relax
We help with conditions driven by chronic stress and trauma by targeting the underlying issues:
Nervous system dysregulation
& Neuro-inflammation.
Exhausted, irritable and in constant pain?
Your body isn't broken. Your nervous system is overwhelmed, running on empty and crying out for help.
The good news is: you can get better.
Your vagus nerve is your body's natural anti-inflammatory system. When it's dysregulated, that brake on inflammation weakens. We work alongside your medical treatment to support your body's own regulatory capacity.
At femme ressort, we believe deep healing is absolutely possible.

"After years of chronic pain, fatigue, digestive issues, and constant bleeding, I was finally diagnosed with Endometriosis.
Hearing my diagnosis was a relief, but learning how little treatment and research existed for my condition was hard to accept. Even after a successful surgery, many of my symptoms remained.
Encouraged by my medical background and 5+ years of clinical experience as an Anesthesiologist, I began searching for another way, looking into the newest research to get my fatigue and chronic pain under control. That's when I discovered the techniques that would change everything for me.
It was only during my healing journey when I realized how much pain my body had been holding. Years of chronic stress had numbed me so deeply that I no longer felt my own tension.
It is my greatest wish to help other women free their bodies from the ghosts of the past and restore their full capacity.”
